2014.09.07 – Stunning Bainbridge Island

After staying the night at John and Jon’s house we decided to go out for breakfast as soon as everyone was up and ready. The nine of us went to The Pegasus, a place we had eaten on a prior trip, and had a great breakfast even though they didn’t have anything specifically vegan. After we ate and had some fun conversation we all walked around the city center. It’s very small but has some great, touristy shops. We must have browsed around for a couple of hours all the while taking in the beautiful scenery and then packed up and headed home. Bainbridge is an incredibly beautiful place. I would definitely like to spend more time there.

Once we got back home Andrew and I decided to bottle up some hot sauce that he made a few days before. We had been waiting on the empty bottles to arrive and they happened to get delivered on a Sunday. Weird but convenient since my life is about to get very busy starting tomorrow. We got it all bottled up and ended up with just shy of 24 5-oz bottles.

Tomorrow I start the Ascend Project. I am nervous and excited! I hope I can learn a ton and end with some confidence and possibly a job or at least the prospect of one.

Today I learned what a Polish bubble bath is. Gross. I also learned that avoiding the Tacoma toll bridge leads to a very scenic drive back to Portland.
