It’s Friday and I generally go meet Andrew downtown for lunch. He typically works downtown on Thursdays and Fridays at a co-working space with his co-workers from GSG. The weather is amazing and this will most likely be the last Friday lunch together until I finish the Ascend Project.  It’s just the two of us today so we grab some food at the DC Vegetarian food cart. I got the Italian sub. Yum!

I noticed on the way over that there was NO line at Voo Doo Doughnut which is crazy for a beautiful summer Friday but great for me. We first stopped at Stumptown for an iced coffee and ate our food outside. I quickly got my doughnut and some extras for the family and then we walked to a Max stop to catch a train home.

I got home and ran right back out to Goodwill on Grand. I found cheap pants and shorts and a basket for surplus produce I want to give away.

I came back home and made some mozzarella cheese for our trip to Bainbridge Island the following day and then Wayne, Andrew, and I went to Handsome Pizza for dinner. I brought more garden surplus so he gave us our pizza on the house. I have to figure out how to keep them in the neighborhood!

Today I learned that our friend Vicky is taking a job with Simple and relocating to Portland.
