Today was a lot like yesterday. Dave came over in the morning and he and I went to our monthly breakfast while Alena and the little ones went to the Saturday Market and the park. We went to Hungry Tiger Too and it was delicious as always. They have a ton of vegan options so I plan on eventually trying them all. After breakfast we went to a couple of places Dave needed to go and then headed back to my house. Alena returned shortly after we did and brought me kettle corn!

My guys had some errands they wanted to run and Dave wanted to join us so Alena stayed at our house and watched a movie with the kids while we did more running all over. We stopped at a neat place near the house called Cracked Pots. They have permission to glean from the transfer station before everything is trucked 150 miles to a landfill. They find usable items, clean them up and sell them for really reasonable prices. We didn’t find anything we needed right then but we plan on going back a couple of times per month at least.

Alice and Jason wanted to get together for pizza and then a movie at our house so Andrew and I walked down to Handsome Pizza and got a couple of delicious pizzas. They are the best pizza place in Portland that we have found so far and I may have said that already and I will probably say it again! We ate at their house since they got a meat pizza and are great about respecting our rule of vegan only in our home. After we were completely stuffed we headed to our house and watched The Tourist with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. I really enjoyed it!

Today I learned that Portland is working toward being a zero waste city that sends absolutely nothing to the landfill. That would be amazing.
